Push back: senior writers will keep their titles but lose 30% of their billable hours. Still feels like a replacement to me.
Saw this exact thing at a 40-person agency last quarter. Three "senior" writers got cut, the actual seniors stayed. Brutal but accurate.
The mid-tier shops are dead within 18 months. Boutiques will be fine. The big networks will absorb the survivors.
