Counter — listicles convert. The "pageview farm" framing is snobbish about a format that works.
I've audited content sites where 100% of the output was listicles and the team called it "scalable content strategy". They went to zero last year.
Listicles are fine. Listicles as 80% of your output are an admission you have nothing else to say.
The pageview farm phase is ending because pageviews aren't worth what they used to be. Listicles will survive the transition. Listicle factories won't.
