I just raised my rates from $200 to $500 and lost zero clients. The middle is hollowing because everyone is being pushed up or down.
The $200 middle is collapsing because AI ate most of what people used to pay $200 for. Ironically the $50 jobs and $500 jobs are AI-resistant.
