Disagree. The good ones — onboarding, virality loops, retention — are still alive. The bad ones (gray-hat platform exploits) died correctly.
Every growth hack case study I learned in 2017 references a feature that no longer exists on the platform it exploited.
Growth hacks aren't bad, they're short-lived. The category error is treating them as durable strategies.
