A 2000-subscriber niche newsletter beats a 50000-subscriber generic one. Buyers know it. Operators dont yet.
The 2k niche newsletter sponsorship I sold last month was $2,400. The 50k generic newsletter in the same space sells slots for $800. The math is upside down for the bigger one.
Sponsors know it. Operators are in denial because chasing scale was the whole game for so long.
