Schema is real and it matters — but only after the rest of the site is functional. The order of operations is what people get wrong.
Half the SEO industry is schema true believers, the other half thinks it's snake oil. The truth is closer to snake oil than the believers will admit.
A client paid $12k for a schema audit. Their actual issue was the page took 14 seconds to load. The audit did not mention that.
